Kayla is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Bethel University. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Early Childhood Studies from the University of Minnesota Duluth. With a strong foundation in child mental health, Kayla focuses on using developmentally appropriate interventions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client and their family.
Her therapeutic approach is rooted in a holistic perspective, recognizing the deep connection between mind, body, and spirit in fostering overall wellbeing. Kayla is passionate about supporting children and adolescents by equipping them with tools to manage everyday challenges and navigate various life transitions. She also places high value on engaging caregivers in the therapeutic process. Through psychoeducation and access to supportive resources, she helps caregivers better understand and respond to their child’s needs beyond the therapy setting.
Kayla is currently completing her internship under the supervision of Deanna Austin, MA, LMFT.

Interns are passionate about helping others and committed to their professional development. You'll be working with someone who is highly motivated and attentive to your needs.
All interns receive supervision from licensed therapists, meaning your care benefits from both your intern’s attention and their supervisor’s expertise.
Interns are trained in the most up-to-date, evidence-based practices and bring a modern perspective to therapy.
By working with an intern, you play a role in shaping a new therapist’s career while receiving meaningful support for your own growth
Interns typically offer services at reduced rates, making therapy more accessible.
