The first step involves building a relationship between you and your therapist and exploring issues that directly impact you. Information about your current struggles will be gathered to help determine the best course of action for helping you feel better; this is called a treatment plan. A treatment plan includes a diagnosis, goals for therapy, and possibly homework for you. Then it is time to put the treatment plan in action.
Each therapist offers different appointment times. We have as early as 7am appointments and as late as 7pm with specific providers. We occasionally have morning appointments available on the weekends with one of our telehealth providers.
We also schedule the same day and time each week or every other week so you always know when your next scheduled session is.
There is a large need for mental health services at this time so there are times that we do have an active waiting list.
We accept the following insurances: Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, Health Partners, Medica Labor Care, Medica MN Preferred, Medica Select Care, Medical Assistance (MA), Preferred One, South Country Health Alliance, Tricare West, United Behavioral Health (UBH) Commercial Plan, Ucare (not Ucare Fairview plans), and United Health Care.
However, not all of our therapists are in network with all the insurance plans listed. Please see the therapist's individual bio page to see if your insurance is listed. Also, make sure you contact your insurance company to ask about in-network coverage for your specific insurance plan.
We need your name or the name of the client, phone number, email address, insurance information (if billing insurance). We'll ask you what time of day you are looking for and which days of the week you can make work. We will also need to know if you would like in person sessions, virtual sessions, or open to either. Then we can let you know what availability we have. At times, we have a waiting list for popular times.
The majority of our paperwork is electronic. We will send an invitation to your email to create a Therapy Portal account. The required documentation will be in your Therapy Portal.
We require all intake paperwork to be completed 48 hours before your scheduled appointment.
The first session is an hour appointment (53+ minutes). Each session after that is generally a 45 or 55 minute session.
