About Cheri

Cheri earned her Master’s degree in Adlerian Counseling and Therapy and is a pre-licensed clinician working toward full licensure under the clinical supervision of Deanna Austin. She brings a strong background in school-based mental health, supporting students in grades K–8 and their families with emotional, behavioral, and academic challenges.

Her experience includes extensive work with children and adolescents across school settings, providing school-based counseling focused on social-emotional skill development, emotional regulation, and student support. She has supported both K–8 students and high school students, including guidance related to future planning, college, and career readiness. She has also collaborated closely with families and school teams, contributing to the social-emotional components of special education evaluations and helping translate student needs into meaningful supports within the educational setting.

These combined experiences have given her a strong and well-rounded understanding of child and adolescent development, family dynamics, and the challenges children, teens, and families may face.

Cheri enjoys working with children, teens, adults, and families navigating concerns such as trauma, life transitions, emotional regulation, and relationship challenges. She takes a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, meeting clients where they are and moving at a pace that feels comfortable and supportive.

Cheri’s goal is to create a welcoming space where clients feel heard, supported, and empowered as they build skills, gain insight, and move toward greater well-being.
